This privacy policy describes how The Home Hub collects and uses the personal information you provide us, and it also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your personal information and how you can access and update this information. With GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in affect from May 25th 2018 we will ensure we’ll do what we can to comply with the changes in the data protection laws. The security of your personal information and our clients’ information is important to us. We maintain reasonable security measures to protect your information from loss, destruction, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. No data transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure due to the nature of the distributed network that is the Internet. We’re obliged to be transparent over how we use your data. Under GDPR your consent must be freely given to us, we will request your information to process your enquiry and ongoing information. This data is taken either over the telephone or face-to-face in our showroom by one of our office team. You will be informed that we are taking this information for this purpose at the time the data is obtained, or within 1 month of receiving the information or within the first digital engagement. The data provided is only used for the sole purpose of whatever reason it may have been provided. We do not add you to a mailing list or sell this information to a third party unrelated to us. We may use the collected personal information and other information collected about you to operate and make a service available to you, for billing, identification and authentication, and to generally improve the content and functionality of our service

How long we retain your information for.

We will retain your information for as long as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and may share your personal information with third party partners to provide the necessary services, and within the technology used in our business to provide the services we offer. You have the right to access

Under GDPR, individuals have the right to request access to the data held free of charge, unless manifestly unfounded or excessive or repetitive, where an admin charge will be applied. We will firstly verify the identity of the person making the request, we would require a form of ID shown to a member of our staff.

If your personal information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you can modify, update, delete the information held by us at any time by contacting us by email [email protected] We will respond to any requests for access to personal information within 30 days. This will be done free of charge.

You have the right to erasure

This is also known as ‘the right to be forgotten’ meaning that an individual can request the removal/deletion of personal data, whether there is a compelling reason or not. If the personal data has been shared on a third party system we will inform them to erase the data from their database. We are within our rights to refuse erasure of data to exercise the right of freedom of expression and information, to comply with a legal obligation, official authority, in the defence of a legal claim, for the performance of public interest task or for public health reasons

You have the right to restrict processing

You have the right to block or supress the processing of your personal data, we’re still permitted to store the personal data. We are required to restrict the processing of data where you contest the accuracy of the personal data until the verification of the accuracy. Or where an objection has been raised and we are considering the legitimacy of this.

This is the right to obtain and reuse your personal data for your own purpose across different services. This applies more to moving, copying or transferring data easily from one IT environment to another in a safe and secure way without hinderance to usability.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests or the performance of a task in the public interest/exercise of an official authority. We can deny this is the processing is for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

CCTV

Over the coming weeks and months, we will look at what is necessary to support the use of our surveillance to be GDPR complaint. We currently communicate the use of CCTV in the showroom and office via signage which indicates the areas covered and instructions for further information. GDPR requires personal data to be processed for only as long as its purpose requires it to be, each camera and its purpose has been assessed and determined that the footage can be retained for 10 days only. Our company use two websites www.totalprojectmanagement.co.uk and www.the-homehub.com Our websites use technologies such as: cookies, tags and scripts are used by us on our website/s and our partners, marketing partners, affiliates, or analytics or service providers, or online customer support provider. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis. Individuals can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level. If you reject cookies, you may still use our site, but your ability to use some features or areas of our site may be limited. Our site may include links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of The Home Hub. We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base.

Our services and website are not intended for or knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 16.
